Purpose:
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
invites applications for its 2018 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
(SURF). The SURF program provides undergraduate students
with hands-on research experience under the mentorship of NIST scientists and
engineers,
to expose the students to cutting-edge research and promote the pursuit of
graduate degrees in science and engineering.
Note:
This funding announcement applies ONLY to the NIST
location in Boulder, Colorado, which has a limit of eight (8) applicants per
institution. (The SURF program in in Gaithersburg in Maryland has no applicant
limit. See the funding announcement for details.)
