Apply to participate in an interactive workshop for an upcoming grant opportunity on enhancing community resilience

To help spark innovative ideas and approaches for an upcoming grant opportunity, the Gulf Research Program will be hosting an interactive, in-person workshop to connect potential applicants, encourage collaboration, and cultivate new ideas.

The three-day Networking and Idea Development Workshop: Thriving Communities Grants 5 will be held May 30 through June 1 in Mobile, Alabama, with travel, accommodations, and meals paid for by the Gulf Research Program.

The grant opportunity, expected to open in July, is aimed at conducting research and developing actionable strategies to enhance the resilience and well-being of communities in the Gulf of Mexico region affected by stressors like climate change, severe weather, or environmental degradation. Participation in the workshop will not be required to apply to the grant opportunity.

Want to learn more? Register for an informational webinar on February 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST that will discuss the workshop and upcoming grant opportunity.

Applications to participate in the workshop are now open. Submit your application by March 8 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
