Description

Conservation X Labs, in collaboration with the Flotilla Foundation and the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, invites applications for its microfiber innovation challenge. These support innovations that address microfiber pollution. Innovations are sought in the following categories:

·        replace – replacing textiles that are sources of plastic microfibers with compostable alternatives;

·        prevent – developing improved textile manufacturing processes to decrease microfiber shedding.

Anyone may apply, including scientists, engineers, marketers, biologists, makers and artists.

 

Given the recent demands for materials to repel and kill viruses such as COVID-19, materials with demonstrated antiviral properties are of significant interest.
