FUNDING-Limited Submission – DOJ – OJJDP FY 18 Victims of Child Abuse Act Support for Children's Advocacy Centers; May 14, 2018

 

Purpose: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for the FYI 2018 Victims of Child Abuse Act Support for Children’s Advocacy Center. Funding is available under four categories of assistance to Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs):

Category 1 (Competition ID: OJJDP-2018-13506): This program will fund a national Membership and Accreditation Organization for CAC programs. The funding will enable the successful applicant to provide services to membership organizations and to implement standards for program accreditation.

Category 2 (Competition ID: OJJDP-2018-13507): This program will provide funding to manage the National Subgrant Program for local CACs. The funding will support CACs, state chapters, and multidisciplinary teams that provide a coordinated investigation and comprehensive response to child abuse, including issuing funding calls and managing subawards.

Category 3 (Competition ID: OJJDP-2018-13508): This program funds CACs to provide services for child pornography victims. The funding will support CACs, state chapters, and multidisciplinary teams that provide a coordinated investigation and comprehensive response to child abuse, specifically to provide services and improve the response to children who victims of child pornography, including issuing funding calls and managing subawards.

Category 4 (Competition ID: OJJDP-2018-14069): This program will fund a national organization to implement a pilot program targeted to communities with substantial military installations for the purpose of establishing CAC models inclusive of the following military partners,; military investigative agencies, medical and Command personnel, and Family Advocacy Program representatives.

OJJDP expects to make one award in each category.

 

Funding Amount/ Project Period: From $1 million to $10 million, depending on category, for project periods of either 18 or 36 months, also depending on the category

• Indication of Category 1, 2, 3, or 4
• Brief project description (2 pages maximum)

 

A committee will be convened to review the material and make a recommendation.
