Description
The
International Foundation for Ethical Research supports the development,
validation, and implementation of innovative methodologies that advance science
and replace the use of animals in research, testing, and
education.
To
advance this mission, the foundation is inviting applications for its Graduate
Student Fellowships for Alternatives in the Use of Animals in Science. Through
the program, fellowships of up to $12,500 per year will be awarded in support
of proposals that show the greatest potential to reduce, refine, or replace the
use of animals in research, testing, and/or education.
Projects
of interest include contemporary areas of discovery such as the use of in vitro
models, in silico simulations, projects in genomics
and proteomics designed to collect human-relevant data, and epidemiological
studies. Fellowships are renewable annually for up to three
years
To
be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a master's or PhD program in the
sciences.
