FOA-FY 2020 Homeland Security National Training Program (HSNTP) - Continuing Training Grants (CTG) (DHS-20-NPD-005-00-01); July 9, 2020

Agency

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

Description

Specifically, the CTG program provides funding for eligible applicants to support and target training solutions for state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) partners, which supports the objective of the National Preparedness System to facilitate an integrated, whole community, risk-informed, capabilities-based approach to preparedness.

Through emerging threats and Lifelines, FEMA and the CTG recipients will concentrate on long-term gaps—including rising disaster costs, new technology, an older and more diverse population, and cybersecurity. Having this focus during and after a disaster, rather than fixating on specific threats and hazards, enables communities to build a culture of preparedness and ready the Nation for catastrophic disasters. The seven Community Lifelines are:

• Safety and Security

• Food, Water, and Sheltering

• Health and Medical

• Energy (Power and Fuel)

• Communications

• Transportation

• Hazardous Material
