Description:
Founded
in 1975, the ASPEN Rhoads Research Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the
American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, is dedicated to
supporting the personal and professional development of nutrition researchers
over the course of their careers. With more than six thousand members globally,
ASPEN is a community that recognizes the importance of research, clinical
practice, advocacy, education, and an interdisciplinary approach to nutrition
support therapy.
To
advance this mission, the foundation is accepting applications for its ASPEN
Rhoads Research Foundation Grants program. Through the program, grants of up to
$50,000 will be awarded in support of early-career investigator research
projects with potential to advance the science and practice of clinical
nutrition and metabolism. Project goals should be in alignment with the
priorities outlined in the ASPEN Research Agenda.
To
be eligible, applicants must be within ten years of completing a terminal
research degree or medical residency (or the equivalent); be at or below the
rank of assistant professor; and commit at least 20 percent of their time to
research in a professional institute that conducts nutrition
research.
