FUNDING-Limited Submission – Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research – New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research; February 13, 2018

 

Purpose:  The purpose of this program, New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research, sponsored by the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR), is to help support the next generation of food and agriculture scientists who will spur future innovation to meet the needs of a growing global population. The Award funds promising individuals pursuing research with potential to sustainably enhance agricultural production or improve health through food. While this award is made to an outstanding early career investigator, applicants should include information regarding essential collaborators and include letters of support from those collaborators.

 

Eligibility: Nominees must have been hired on or after August 1, 2014.

 

Note: Matching Requirement: 1:1

 

Funding Amount: up to$100,000 per year for up to three years

Internal Competition: To participate in the university’s selection process,please upload the following materials,assembled into a single PDF file, to the Office of the Vice President for Research via this portal, with a copy to your Associate Dean for Research by February 13, 2018:

 

• Name and department or affiliation of the Project Director (specify date of hire into tenure-track position)
• Title of program and/or funding opportunity announcement number;
• Brief project description (2 pages maximum)
• Budget, including the potential source of 1:1 matching funds

 

A committee will be convened to review the material and make a recommendation.
