Funding-2010 IPM Enhancement Grant RFAs, Part 1 and Part 2; February 15, 2010

 

The Southern Region IPM Center has released the RFA for 2010 IPM Enhancement Grants.   The RFA contains the following:

 

Part 1 is for a Regularity Information Network.  They will fund one multi-state project to coordination this effort for the states in the southern region. The primary function of the network is to enhance and coordinate information flows between regulatory agencies and the southern region. Requires dissemination of information as well as responding to requests from EPA, state regulatory agencies and others.

Part 1 also includes requests for funds to develop Crop Profiles, Pest Management Strategic Plans, IPM Elements, IPM Priorities and an Information Database. Up to $25,000 can be requested in Part 1 to support an IPM Working Group. (See page 9 of the RFA for Part 1 for information on IPM Working Groups.)

 

Part 2 is for “Special Project”. They are defined as IPM Seed Grants which support projects to plan, initiate or catalyze important new IPM efforts and IPM Capstone Grants which support projects intended to facilitate new or expand implementation of proven IPM methods and strategies. (Presumes necessary research and most developmental work is done.)

Grant submission deadline is February 15, 2010. Indirect costs of up to 20% of the total funds awarded (equivalent to 25% of total direct costs) can be requested.
