NIST is soliciting applications for financial assistance for Fiscal Year 2014 (FY14) under the following programs: (1) the Material Measurement Laboratory (MML); (2) the Physical Measurement Laboratory (PML); (3) the Engineering Laboratory (EL); (4) Fire Research (FR); (5) the Information Technology Laboratory (ITL); (6) the NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR); (7) the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST); (8) the Office of Special Programs (OSP), and (9) the Associate Director for Laboratory Programs (ADLP). Specifics of these programs are detailed in the Full Announcement/FFO document. This funding opportunity will result in the award of grants or cooperative agreements. A grant or cooperative agreement is not the correct funding vehicle if the principal purpose is to provide products or services for the direct benefit or use of the federal government.

Closing Date: All NIST MSE Research Grant Programs except the FR Grant Program - Applications will be considered on a continuing/rolling basis. Applications received after 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on June 2, 2014 may be processed and considered for funding under this FFO in the current fiscal year or in the next fiscal year, subject to the availability of funds. Except for applications submitted to the FR Grant Program, all applications submitted to the MSE Research Grants programs, paper and electronic, must be received prior to the posting of the FY 2015 NIST MSE Research Grants Programs FFO on Grants.gov in order to be processed under this FFO. The FR Grant Program - The deadline for paper applications to the FR Grant Program is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday, March 31, 2014. The deadline for electronic applications to the FR Grant Program is 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday, March 31, 2014. Applications to the FR Grant Program received after the respective deadline will not be reviewed or considered.
