Funding-Limited Submission – ArtPlace America – 2014 Innovation Grants; November 18, 2013

ArtPlace America invites letters of inquiry for their Innovation Grants program from initiatives involving arts organizations, artists and designers working in partnership with local and national partners on place-based strategies that can transform communities.

Amount: Grants will range between $50,000-$500,000 for an 18 month period beginning July 1, 2014.

Limited Submission: An organization is only allowed to submit one letter of inquiry per grant cycle.

Internal Competition: Because the sponsor limits the number of letters of inquiry an institution may submit, the University of Kentucky has established an internal selection process. Eligible researchers who wish to be considered for this program should send the following information to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu and a copy to their Associate Dean for Research by Monday, November 18, 2013:

• Title of the program and funding opportunity (ArtPlace 2014 Innovation Grants);
• Names and departments of the PI, key personnel and community partners;
• Project description (1-2 pages max.)

The Vice President for Research will appoint a committee to review the material and make recommendations as to the University's nominee. All applicants will be notified of the results. The individual selected will be given sufficient time to complete the online letter of inquiry by the December 13, 2013 deadline.  ArtPlace America will invite selected applicants to submit full proposals that will be due in March/April 2014.
