Funding-Charles E. Barnhart Fund for Excellence; October 15, 2010

The Charles E. Barnhart Fund for Academic Excellence Committee is seeking proposals up to $1,000 for projects/programs that will occur January 1, 2011-June 30, 2011.  Such proposals might include, but not be limited to, workshops/conferences, nationally or internationally renowned speakers to give major presentations, programmatic initiatives with an excellence theme, and student enrichment and development activities.

Please note: In order to align the Barnhart Award competition with the fiscal year, this is a one-time spring-only application for projects occurring January 1, 2011-June 30, 2011. The Barnhart Committee receives approximately 35 applications each year and is typically able to fund 10-12.  The anticipated number of projects that will be funded from this spring-only competition is 6.  This spring-only competition is the only opportunity to apply for funding for this time frame.  For the application and a list of prior awards, please see http://www2.ca.uky.edu/deanadmin/funding.
