Description
The Burroughs Wellcome Fund is an
independent private foundation dedicated to advancing the biomedical sciences
through support for research and other scientific and educational activities.
Within this broad mission, BWF's primary goals are to help scientists early in
their careers develop as independent investigators and to advance fields in the
basic biomedical sciences that are undervalued or in need of particular
encouragement.
As part of that mission, BWF is accepting applications for
its 2017 Innovation in Regulatory Science Awards program. Grants of up to
$500,000 over five years will be awarded to academic investigators working to
develop new methodologies or innovative approaches in the field of regulatory
science that will ultimately inform the regulatory decisions made by the Food
and Drug Administration and others.
