Funding-Limited Submission - Homeland Security, U.S. Dept. of Fiscal Year 2015 Homeland Security National Training Program – Continuing Training Grants (DHS-15-NPD-005-000-01); August 10, 2015

 

 

Purpose: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Fiscal Year 2015 Homeland Security National Training Program (HSNTP) Continuing Training Grants (CTG) program plays an important role in the implementation of the National Preparedness System by supporting the building, sustainment, and delivery of core capabilities essential to achieving the National Preparedness Goal (the Goal) of a secure and resilient nation.  The FY 2015 HSNTP/CTG supports efforts to build and sustain core capabilities across prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery mission areas, with specific focus on addressing the training needs of our nation. FY 2015 HSNTP/CTG training programs will provide training solutions to address specific national preparedness gaps, correlate training needs with exercise activities and outcomes, incorporate the core capabilities identified in the National Preparedness Goal, and ensure training is available and accessible to a nationwide audience.

 

Focus Areas: The objectives of the FY 2015 HSNTP/CTG program are the development and delivery of training in the following focus areas:

1.     Cybersecurity;

2.     Hazardous Materials;

3.     Countering Violent Extremism; and

4.     Rural Training

 

Funding Amount: $11,521,000 for between four and eight three-year awards (estimated)

Institutional Limit: Applicant institutions are permitted to submit up to four applications – one per focus area; applicants are not permitted to address more than one focus area in a single application

 

Internal Competition: To participate in the University’s selection process, researchers are to submit the following material, assembled into a single PDF file, to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu and a copy to their Associate Dean for Research by Tuesday, July 7, 2015:
