Description

 

The Sustainable Bioenergy Challenge Area RFA focuses on the societal challenge to secure America's energy future. In the Sustainable Bioenergy Challenge Area RFA, specific program areas are designed to achieve the long-term outcome of reducing the National dependence on foreign oil through the production of sustainable bioenergy. Project types supported by AFRI within this RFA include single-function Research, multi-function Integrated Research, Education, and/or Extension Projects, and Food and Agricultural Science Enhancement (FASE) Grants.

Due Date: Dec 15, 2011    In FY 2012, all Program Areas within the Sustainable Bioenergy Challenge Area require a Letter of Intent for submission of an application. For those programs requiring a Letter of Intent, a letter is required for all grant types except Conference Grant applications. Refer to Part IV, A (page 24) for instructions on the preparation of a Letter of Intent.
