Description:
This
program supports doctoral-level psychology education and training programs to prepare
psychologists to address the behavioral health needs of vulnerable and
underserved populations. For the purposes of this funding announcement,
vulnerable and underserved populations include, but are not limited to, those
populations in rural areas, children and adolescents, the elderly, victims of
abuse, the chronically ill, disabled, returning war veterans, military
personnel and their families, and tribal populations. The program will foster
an integrated and interprofessional approach to
addressing access to behavioral health care for vulnerable and underserved
populations.
Amount:
Approximately
$3,946,000 is expected to be available annually to fund an estimated 25
grantees. Applicants may apply for a ceiling amount of up to $190,000 per
fiscal year.

Limit: Multiple
applications from an organization are not allowed.
Internal Competition: Because HRSA limits
the number of proposals to one per organization, the University of
Kentucky has established an internal selection process.
Prospective applicants interested in responding to this program should send
a pre-proposal with the following information to the Office of the Vice

Associate Dean for Research by Thursday, January 3, 2013:

activities, and work plan (1-2 p. max).
