Description

The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is now accepting online applications for its annual "Postdoc Scholarship Program" of up to 2 years' duration. The postdoc program encourages and promotes the development of early researchers and offers them the opportunity to further their careers by gaining hands-on professional research experience in a highly international and interdisciplinary scientific environment. Participants will apply their expertise in a broader context to analyze complex systems and produce scientific insights needed for policymaking in a wide range of areas (energy and climate change, food and water, poverty and equity, drivers of global transformations, and advanced system analysis). Participants will spend time thinking and researching in a former imperial castle near Vienna, Austria, and become part of IIASA's global scientific network with over 200 current researchers, hundreds of international collaborators, and thousands of alumni.
