Funding-Inequality Research Studies; August 5, 2014

Agency Name

William T. Grant Foundation

Description

The William T. Grant Foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry from projects working to enhance understanding of the programs, policies, and practices that reduce inequalities in youth development.

Grants of up to $600,000 will be awarded for projects that inform programs, policies, and practices to reduce inequality in youth outcomes. Studies may examine approaches that improve outcomes for all youth but also reduce gaps if applied to those who need them most, as well as programs, policies, and practices aimed at elevating the most disadvantaged young people. The foundation also is interested in studies that improve the measurement of inequality in ways that will enhance the work of researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.

To be eligible, applicants must be employed at a nonprofit institution, either in the United States or abroad; address issues that have compelling relevance for youth between the ages of 5 and 25 in the United States; and reflect high standards of evidence and rigorous methods, commensurate with the project's goals.

Due Date: Letters of inquiry August 5, 2014
