Important Dates:

•  Letter of Intent (LOI) Submission period: 12/03/2010 (Online application opens) to 12/10/2010 at 4:00 PM ET (Online application closes)

•  Invitation to submit a Full Proposal and Application Period: 12/17/2010 (Online application opens) to 01/27/2011 at 4:00 PM ET (Online application closes)

All LOIs received on time will be reviewed for appropriateness and fit with the R&D Excellence Program guidelines. Invitation to submit a proposal will be

posted online at http://applications.kstc.com. A response, either positive or negative, will be posted online on or around the date the full proposal

submission period opens as published on the RFP. No full proposal submission will be possible without an invited LOI.

Announcement for Funding Opportunities in the Research and Development Excellence Program (RDE) – OPENING 12-03-2010

The Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (KSTC) announces a new Request for Proposals (RFP) OPENING on Friday, December 3, 2010. A total of up to $800,000 is available under KSEF’s Research and Development Excellence Program for an individual award size of up to $50,000 per annum. The period of the grant request will not exceed 24 months. This round of funding (RDE-014) will be open to Kentucky small businesses, and to scientists and engineers from Kentucky universities, private colleges and other post-secondary institutions.
