Description

The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky is pleased to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) under the new Investing in Kentucky's Future Initiative (IKF).  This initiative is designed to improve the health of Kentucky's children by engaging communities in testing innovative strategies.

The Foundation plans to provide funding for up to 10 Kentucky communities where civic leaders are committed to working together to promote the physical and behavioral health and well-being of children ages 5 through 18 by supporting local systems, environments and policies that reduce risks for chronic diseases and help children practice healthy behaviors for a lifetime. 

Please read through the RFP for information regarding applicant conference calls scheduled on October 16 and 18.  Foundation staff will discuss the intent of this initiative in greater depth, and respond to applicant questions during these calls.  More information about the Foundation can be found on our website, www.healthy-ky.org. 

Closing Date: Letters of Intent are due on November 16, 2012 and full-proposals are due on February 28, 2012.
