Funding-Bay Area Lyme Foundation - Emerging Leader Award; February 15, 2017

The Bay Area Lyme Foundation is seeking applications for its Emerging Leader Award program. The annual program recognizes up-and-coming researchers bringing new approaches and creative thinking to the field of Lyme disease. A grant of $100,000 will support a new and innovative project and is designed to attract aspiring new scientific talent to the field of Lyme Disease.

 

To be eligible, applicants must be early in their careers and have clearly focused research objectives. Applicants must also be affiliated with an academic or research institution, have professional tenure at the postdoctoral level, and be able to demonstrate professional and scientific leadership in the biological and medical sciences.

 

In 2017, the foundation is offering additional ELA grants at the $250,000 level to veteran scientific talent with the title of associate professor or above who have not previously worked in Lyme disease research.
