Funding-Limited Submission – U.S. Department of State – Regional Assistance Program (MEPI-MEPICA-13-017); July 23, 2013

The Office of the U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative requests applications to establish a mechanism by which organizations and activists can receive technical and financial assistance, if necessary on short notice; facilitate networking among organizations and build consortiums when necessary for project implementation; and provide comparative perspectives and international best practices on effective reform methodologies. Proposals should demonstrate creative means to provide support (e.g., through sub-awards and/or direct assistance) to local, regional and international organizations and individuals in response to rapidly changing events on the ground in the Middle East and North Africa.

Cost Sharing: Cost sharing is encouraged. The inclusion of cost sharing will be among the elements on which applications are evaluated

Limited Submission: Applicants may submit only one application.

If cost sharing will be offered, include an estimated budget with match and potential sources of funding for that match. Note:  Because of ongoing commitments, the Office of the Vice President for Research is unable to provide matching funds.
