Funding-FY 2013 Multistate Conservation Grant Program; May 11, 2012

Agency Name

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Description

The Multistate Conservation Grant Program (“MSCGP”) provides funding for wildlife and sport fish restoration projects identified as priority projects by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (the “Association”). These high-priority projects address problems affecting states on a regional or national basis.

The Multistate Conservation Grant Program may have up to $6,000,000 available each year for the purpose of funding multistate conservation project grants. The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service-Division of Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration cooperatively administer the program. The Service ultimately awards and manages the grants; however, the Association administers the grant application process, provides oversight, coordination and guidance.
