The NIH has announced the following three funding opportunities as part of the Recovery Act Limited Competition:

Because the NIH limits the number of applications an institution may submit in response to the two RFAs and will not accept multiple applications for the same type of equipment, the University of Kentucky has implemented an internal selection procedure. Individuals who plan to submit an application in response to any of these announcements are to send the following information to the Office of the Vice President for Research at vpr@email.uky.edu and a copy to their Associate Dean for Research by Tuesday, March 24. 2009:

·         Name of the Program - High End Instrumentation, Research Facilities Improvement (C06) or Core Facility Renovation, Repair, Improvement (G20)

·         PI name and department

·         Specific piece of equipment or construction/renovation project (1/2 page description)

·         Estimated cost

Note:  One UK C06 proposal will focus on fitting up the 4th and 5th floors of the Pharmacy Building currently under construction.

Questions about the submission process may be sent to Ms. Annette Evans in the Office of the Vice President for Research (alevan4@email.uky.edu or 257-1663).
