Description

 

Climate variability and change present society with significant economic, health, safety, and national security challenges. NOAA advances scientific and technical programs to help society cope with and adapt to todays variations in climate and to prepare for tomorrows. Toward this end, the agency conducts and supports climate research, essential oceanic and atmospheric observations, modeling, information management, assessments, interdisciplinary decision support research, outreach, education, and stakeholder partnership development. These investments are key to NOAAs mission of "Science, Service, and Stewardship" and are guided by the agencys vision to create and sustain enhanced resilience in ecosystems, communities, and economies, as described in NOAAs Next Generation Strategic Plan (NGSP).

Letters of Intent for all Competitions should be received electronically by August 10, 2014 5:00 p.m. Eastern for all, except for the COM - Arctic Research Program for 2015-2020 and CVP - Understanding Arctic Sea Ice Mechanisms and Predictability competitions, which are due 5:00 p.m. Eastern, August 15, 2014.

Full applications for all Competitions must be received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern, October 20, 2014 except for the COM - Arctic Research Program for 2015-2020 and CVP - Understanding Arctic Sea Ice Mechanisms and Predictability competitions, which are due 5:00 p.m. Eastern, November 14, 2014.
