Funding-Limited Submission – NSF - Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) (NSF 14-505); December 4, 2013

 

AGEP is committed to the national goal of increasing the numbers of underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities (URMs), including those with disabilities, entering and completing graduate education and postdoctoral training in STEM disciplines.  The AGEP program will support the development, implementation, study, and dissemination of innovative models and standards of graduate education and postdoctoral training that are designed to improve URM participation, preparation, and success.  AGEP supports the following types of projects:

Limit on Number of Proposals per Organization:

 

Internal Competition:  Because NSF limits the number of AGEP-Transformation proposals to one lead proposal per institution, the University of Kentucky has established an internal selection process.  Researchers interested in submitting a proposal are to submit the following material electronically to Ms.  Kris Hobson (hobson@email.uky.edu), Office of the Provost, and a copy to their by Wednesday, December 4, 2013:

(1)   Names and departments of PI, key personnel

(2)   Title of the program and/or funding opportunity announcement number

(3)   Alliance partners and roles

(4)   Project description (2 pages maximum) – include the project context (need for the project), and the project goals, objectives and activities.

 

A committee will be convened to review the proposals and make a recommendation. The Office of the Provost will notify all applicants of the outcome.
