Funding-Limited Submission – National Institutes of
Health/Office of Research Infrastructure Programs - Developing and Improving Institutional Animal Resources (G20); May 13, 2014
The major objective of the NIH Developing and Improving Institutional
Animal Resources Program is to upgrade animal facilities to support the conduct
of biomedical and/or behavioral research. Support can be requested up to
$500,000 direct costs to alter and renovate (A&R) the animal facilities, as
well as to improve the animal care equipment in the facility.

Because NIH limits an institution to one proposal, the
University of Kentucky has established an internal selection process.
Individuals interested in submitting to this program are to send the following
material electronically to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu and a copy to their
Associate Dean for Research by Tuesday, May 13, 2014:

The names and departments of the Project Director and key personnel
· A brief
overview/description (1 page) including the need, the specific project, and
anticipated impact on research
A
committee will be appointed to review the material and make recommendations as
to the University’s applicant. The NIH deadline is August 1, 2014
