Funding-SBIR grant
program- Feed the future Partnering
for Innovation program
Dear Charles,
Great talking to you today. As I
mentioned on the phone, I recently started working at Fintrac
on a USAID supported program called Feed the Future
Partnering for Innovation (http://www.partneringforinnovation.org/).
We run a grant program which supports the commercialization of technologies
relevant for smallholder farmers.
Technology examples include, but are not limited to:
·
Seed varieties
·
Biological controls
·
Animal genetics and vaccines
·
Drip irrigation and water harvesting systems
·
Postharvest and value-added technologies
·
Farm tools
We have 2 types of awards, a 1 year pilot award which has a
max budget of 400K, and a commercialization award, which does not have a year
limit or a budget cap (although our program is 5 yrs).
We support technology entering the market at all different phases, from
first-market entry (pilot award), to scaling up and growing into new markets
(commercialization award). Our next Expression of Interest (EOI) will open
June 15th. Attached is a brief announcement about the program.
Please feel free to send it around now because they can join our mailing list
which is linked in the attached announcement. Once you are on the mailing list,
you will receive our EOI announcement.
If you have any questions about the program, please don’t
hesitate to contact me.
Best,
Kari
