Funding-Limited Submission – Institute of Museum and Library Services – STEM Expert Facilitation of Family Learning in Libraries and Museums (STEMeX) – A National Leadership Grants Special Initiative (NLGSPECIALINITIATIVE-STEMEX-FY16); May 1, 2016

 

Purpose:  This joint National Leadership Grants (NLG)-Libraries and NLG-Museums special initiative invites proposals for research on informal educational approaches that leverage community Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) professionals in the broadest sense. Funded research projects will create a foundation for reaching children and families from diverse economic, geographic, social, and cultural backgrounds, with different levels of knowledge about STEM.

 

Funding Amount:  The anticipated period of performance is October 2016-November 2018.  Three awards are anticipated, with $700,000 as the average amount of funding per award.

Internal Competition:  To participate in the University’s selection process, researchers are to submit the following material electronically, assembled into a single PDF document, to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu and a copy to their Associate Dean for Research by Tuesday, March 1, 2016:
