Funding-Limited Submission - TELEHEALTH RESOURCE CENTER GRANT PROGRAM; May 26, 2010

The purpose of the Telehealth Resource Center Grant Program (TRCGP) is to support the establishment and development of Telehealth Resource Centers (TRCs). The Centers are to be an impartial, independent source of technical assistance to health care organizations, health care networks, and health care providers in the implementation of cost-effective telehealth programs to serve rural and medically underserved areas and populations.

There are three types of grants available for funding under this announcement, the Regional Telehealth Resource Center, The Telehomecare Telehealth Resource Center and the National Telehealth Resource Center. The maximum award for an individual Regional TRC will be $325,000 (including direct and indirect costs) for FY 2010. The maximum award for the National TRC will be $300,000 for FY 2010 (including direct and indirect costs). The maximum award for the Telehomecare TRC will be $300,000 for FY 2010 (including direct and indirect costs).

Institutional Limit: Due to limited availability of funding under this grant competition, only one grant award will be made to an applicant organization. Moreover, for the purposes of this funding announcement, organizations can only be a part of one consortium applying.

Because HRSA limits the number of proposals, the University of Kentucky has established an internal selection process. Prospective applicants interested in responding to this program should send a pre-proposal with the following information to the Office of the Vice President for Research at vpr@email.uky.edu and a copy to their Associate Dean for Research by Wednesday, May 26, 2010:

List the program name - Telehealth Resource Center – and specify if the grant is Regional, Telehomecare, or National
Names and departments of the Project Director and project personnel
Brief abstract of project (1-2 p. max) (If you have received similar funding for such a program in the past, please include a statement to this effect and the dates of the project period)
