Funding-USWBSI -
Call for FY14 Pre-Proposals; August 5, 2013
Dear Colleagues:
The U.S. Wheat & Barley Scab Initiative (USWBSI) is
now soliciting research pre-proposals for fiscal year 2014. The FY14 Request
for Project Pre-Proposals (RFP) application materials are posted on the
USWBSI's Website at http://scabusa.org/research_rfp14.
Proposed research should be based on the FY14 Program
Descriptions and Research Priorities (http://scabusa.org/pdfs/fy14rfp_pd-rp.pdf)
derived from the goals of the USWBSI's Action Plan (http://scabusa.org/pdfs/uswbsi_action-plan_web.pdf). The Action Plan will lead to greater
collaboration and communication, and more rapid attainment of the Initiative's
primary goal: "To develop as
quickly as possible effective control measures that minimize the threat of Fusarium head blight (scab), including the reduction of mycotoxins, to the producers, processors, and consumers of
wheat and barley."
If you are interested in submitting a pre-proposal,
please go to the USWBSI's web page for the FY14 RFP (URL above) and carefully
read the instructions and follow the step by step procedure that is
outlined. Links to the USWBSI's Action
Plan, Research Area Program Descriptions and Research Priorities, and a Frequently
Asked Questions (FAQ) document can all be found at this site.
If you have any questions regarding the application
materials or the pre-proposal process, please contact the U.S. Wheat &
Barley Scab Initiative's Networking & Facilitation Office by phone at (517)
355-0271 ext. 1183 or send an e-mail to scabusa@scabusa.org.
We apologize if you receive multiple copies of this
message as it is being distributed to several mailing lists. Please forward this e-mail message to anyone
who may be interested in submitting a pre-proposal.
