Funding-UK Women & Philanthropy Request for Proposals;
June 17, 2016
The UK Women & Philanthropy Network is an organization of
alumni and friends who have pooled their love for UK, along with their time,
talents and resources, to help fund important programs and projects at the
University the Kentucky. Founded in 2007 with a common vision – to build
a better UK and a better Commonwealth – Women & Philanthropy continues to
grow in size and strength, dedicating the funding provided by members to assist
in the life and growth of the University.
W & P has funded a wide array of projects since its
inception. Attached is a summary listing of all of the funded proposals
since the award process began. Also attached are guidelines the
organization follows when recommending proposals for funding.
The University of Kentucky Women &
Philanthropy Network is calling for submission of proposals for potential
funding in 2017. We ask that you consider priorities in your college or
programs that focus on the areas of scholarships, research and programs.
If you determine that your college/program has priorities in these areas
that would benefit from W & P funding, please contact your dean or vice
president to secure an application form and submit the proposal to Paula L.
Pope at the UK Office of Philanthropy, 129 Sturgill
Building, 0015, or via email, ppope@email.uky.edu, no later than 5:00
p.m. on June 17, 2016. Selected proposals will be presented on
November 11, 2016, to the W & P Network who will vote for the proposals
they deem most impactful. Recommendation for funding will be determined
according to the number of votes received for each proposal and awards will be
made in early 2017.
If you have any questions, or would like more information, please
contact Paula Pope at 257-3187.
