Society in Science - The Branco Weiss Fellowship is unique anywhere in the world because it provides early researchers with a generous personal grant that gives them the freedom to work on whatever topic they choose for a maximum duration of 5 years. The program is coordinated by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich; however, the financing can be used at any institution worldwide. Society in Science was initiated and financed by Dr. Branco Weiss, a Swiss entrepreneur who passed away in October 2010.
