Funding-Limited Submission – Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research – New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research; February 14, 2017

Purpose: The purpose of the New Innovator in Food and Agriculture Research program is to help support the next generation of food and agriculture scientists who will spur future innovation to meet the needs of a growing global population. The Award funds promising individuals pursuing research with potential to sustainably enhance agricultural production or improve health through food.

Funding Amount: $600,000 over three years

Eligibility: Nominees must be within the first three years of their tenure-track or equivalent faculty career (hired on or after August 1, 2013).

Internal Competition: To participate in the university’s selection process, please submit the following, assembled into a single PDF file, to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu with a copy to your Associate Dean for Research by February 14, 2017:

• Names and departments or affiliations of the nominee;
• Title of program and/or funding opportunity announcement number;
• Brief project description (2 pages maximum)

Note: Once selections have been made, the Office of the Vice President for Research will complete the online nominations on behalf of the selected applicants.
