Funding-William T.
Grant Foundation - Inequality Research Studies; August 4,
2015
Description
The William
T. Grant Foundation is accepting Letters of Inquiry for
projects designed to enhance understanding of the programs, policies, and
practices that reduce inequalities in youth development.
Studies may examine
approaches that improve outcomes for all youth but can reduce gaps if applied to
those who need them most, as well as programs, policies, and practices aimed at
elevating the most disadvantaged young people. The foundation also is interested
in studies that improve the measurement of inequality in ways that will enhance
the work of researchers, practitioners, and policy makers. Grants will range up
to $600,000.
To be eligible,
applicants must be employed at a nonprofit institution, either in the United
States or abroad; address issues that have compelling
relevance for U.S. youth between the ages of 5 and 25; and reflect high
standards of evidence and rigorous methods, commensurate with the project's
goals.
