Funding-Call for proposals-- Seed Grants from the Appalachian Center; June 30, 2010

The Appalachian Center is seeking proposals from individual faculty, doctoral candidates, and interdisciplinary faculty teams for small seed grants to support development of engaged research.  We are specifically seeking proposals that relate to community development, social transformation, and local economic development topics, broadly defined, in order to create synergy with current Center projects.  The attached call for proposals lists some potential topics, but creative new ideas are encouraged.

Note that these funds must be expended by June 30, 2010.  This is a tight window, but we are hopeful, nonetheless, that this support will promote exploration of new ideas that can be developed into full proposals for external funding.

If you have a project you would like to discuss, please get in touch.  I would be delighted to explore your ideas with you and determine potential fit.
