An Exciting New Research Communication Showcase with 3-Minute Thesis Competition  

 

The culminating event will be held on October 30th in Worsham Cinema.  Complete details about workshops and preliminary rounds (organized by disciplinary divisions) are available on the Graduate School’s website here.  The series of events is sponsored by the Graduate School, the Graduate Student Congress, and the Society of Postdoctoral Scholars. 

 

The final event will include three tracks, each with its own prize money:

 

All tracks will follow 3MT rules, except that students in the Graduate Student Showcase can choose to use no slide and one 3”x5” note card for reference.  The final 3MT will be scored by a panel of judges using standard 3MT criteria, while the Showcase winners will be determined by audience vote.

Preliminary Round

 

Thursday, October 18 at 5:30 p.m.

The preliminary round will be divided by academic discipline, with each division competing concurrently in its own location. The top three graduate showcase presenters and the top three 3MT presenters from each division will advance to the finals. Up to six postdoc presenters across all divisions will advance to the finals.

STEM: Seay Auditorium (Ag Science North)
