NAA anounces
new
Algae
Production Incubator Program
for Universities and Colleges
The algae industry
is estimated to be a $1.6 billion dollar industry going forward for co-products
and fuels. Students enrolled in the NAA's Algae Production Incubator
Program have learned about algae cultivation, harvesting and extraction
and taken our annual Algae Production Certification Program have
received positions after graduation.
The National Algae
Association, a 501(c)6, is the first
non-profit algae education and trade association in the US to
assist students in learning about all facets of commercial algae
production. After 50 years of algae research, algae farms are
scaling-up on non-arable acreage or inside large commercial buildings
throughout the US, Europe and Asia using existing technologies,
off the shelf materials and commercial algae production equipment.
Proven algae technologies
are moving out of the lab and into commercial production. Enhancements
by researchers in the lab will continue in the background as students
and industry move into commercial-scale algae production.
University and college students are learning about algae
cultivation, harvesting and extraction techniques on campus that they
can use after graduation. NAA also provides a 4 week online
algae production certification program to teach students the different
aspects of commercial algae production that is needed in the industry.
The National Algae
Association can put together an algae production incubator
program at any university, college or community college. NAA
brings together all stakeholders needed in collaboration to make
our algae incubator program a success at your educational
institution.
