General Interest-Position announcements at USDA; January 31, 2011

 

Dear Colleagues:

 

As most of you know, NIFA is in the process of recruiting for the Principal Scientist positions for each of the 4 new institutes within the agency.  Our goal is to have an extensive search that attracts a very broad and diverse pool of highly qualified candidates.  In order to provide maximum flexibility in filling these positions, NIFA will consider applicants for permanent, term, or Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) appointments.

 

These positions are currently posted on the OPM website (http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/) and the NIFA website under job opportunities.  We also will be advertising for these positions in Science, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and Insight Into Diversity.  Please find attached a copy of the advertisement that we will use.  This advertisement can be shared with our stakeholders and partners.

 

We are also working with an executive search firm, JDG, to assist NIFA in the recruitment process.
