General Interest-New Mass Spectrometry Capacity Available; December 25, 2011

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the operation of TWO new mass spectrometers in the Proteomics Core. The grant to acquire these instruments was funded in June 2010. Although one instrument was described in the application, we were able to acquire two mass spectrometers using the grant plus a relatively small University supplement. Descriptions of the two mass spec systems (LTQ-Orbitrap/ETD and TSQ Vantage) as well as of the two existing mass spectrometers are in the attached flyer. We are excited about the new capabilities in the Core and look forward to answering any questions you may have. Feel free to contact us regarding how we can help with your research.
