Agency

Department of Health and Human Services

Administration for Children and Families

Description

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) plans to fund a cooperative agreement to sponsor a Child Development Research Fellowship (CDRF). The CDRF will provide child development research professionals from the academic community the opportunity for enhanced professional development regarding human service research, program evaluation, and the ACF policy-relevant evidence base. In addition to these extensive professional development activities, the fellows will actively participate in policy-relevant research and evaluation associated with ACF programs. The goal of the fellowship program is to expose researchers to policy content and to a policy environment and thereby to expand and enrich the field's capacity for policy-relevant research. The successful applicant will design a professional development program that will increase fellows' understanding of the challenges and successes with applied research for policy and practice.
