Information-New F&A Rates Tentatively Approved
Last month, consultants
for the University of Kentucky completed negotiations with the Division of Cost
Allocation, DHHS of a new F&A rate agreement. The on-campus research rate will
increase to 50.0 percent on July 1, 2013. Other rates are shown below.
Although the new rate agreement
has not been signed by the federal government, investigators should immediately
begin using the new rates in proposals, including competing renewals, with
projected start dates on or after July 1. Per OMB Circular A-21 (G.7.), the
current rates will continue in force for the duration of existing awards or
competitive segments. Existing non-federal awards that are amended to increase
the scope of work and budget on or after July 1 will be subject to the new
rate.
