Description

The Decadal Survey on Biological and Physical Sciences in Space 2020-2030 will begin later this year, bringing the research community together to identify priorities for the next decade. NASA announces the opportunity to participate in a live webinar event on September 29^th that is intended to help prepare for the upcoming Decadal Survey. The event will focus on the “research campaign” concept, which is new to this Decadal Survey, which may integrate multiple missions and multiple disciplines to tackle an overarching scientific or exploration goal.  It is expected that the Decadal Survey will issue a call for white papers proposing “research campaigns” at a future date, along with a white paper call for more focused research topics. The September 29^th event will be geared towards defining the concept of research campaigns, and encouraging interested community members to begin developing ideas, and teams, in preparation for the white paper call.
