Kentucky Space Grant Consortium is accepting
proposals for 1-year projects to
begin August 2021 for student
fellowships, faculty research initiation and
pre-college outreach in STEM areas of
interest to NASA and
Kentucky.

NASA
SPACE GRANT PROGRAM The National
Space Grant College & Fellowship Program was
initiated by Congress in 1987 in
response to the need for a coordinated
effort to help maintain America’s pre-eminence in
aerospace science and technology. The
Space Grant national network includes over 1,000
affiliates from universities, colleges,
industry, museums, science centers, state
and local agencies.

Experience for Undergraduates

Mini-Grants (EMG) -- $25,000

(MG) -- $7,500
Kentucky Space Grant
Consortium (KSGC) is a diverse group of
27 affiliate members, including 18 Kentucky
universities, colleges and community colleges, 5
industry partners and 4 science centers,
partnered with NASA to support Kentucky college
students, faculty and pre-college outreach
through award programs that address
national interests of NASA and the state needs of
Kentucky. | | |

Kentucky Space Grant
programs have three strategic
themes:

Engineering, Technology & Workforce

Program solicitation:
RFP-21-001
Eligible
institutions: Proposals will be accepted from
NASA Kentucky Space Grant Consortium
Affiliate Institutions. Institutions who
are not affiliates (including businesses and K-12
schools) can participate in projects
proposed by affiliate institutions. A current
list of all affiliate institutions is
available on the NASA KY Space Grant page.
Citizenship: NASA
requires US citizenship for students
receiving support under Kentucky's GF and REU
awards.
Cost-share requirement: NASA
requires cost-share from state Space
Grant Consortia and therefore some KSGC programs
require contributing
matching.
