Description
The
U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) - Department of
Commerce through
the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) Climate
Program Office (CPO) CPO supports competitive research through three major
program areas: Earth System Science and Modeling (ESSM); Climate and Societal
Interactions (CSI); and Communication, Education and Engagement (CEE). CPO
is seeking applications for 6 individual competitions in FY21. Several of these
competitions are relevant to high-priority climate risk areas CPO is organizing
some of its activities around to improve science understanding and/or
capabilities that result in user-driven outcomes in four initial risk areas:
Coastal Inundation, Marine Ecosystems, Water Resources and Extreme
Heat.
The

COVID-19 pandemic

Process-Oriented Diagnostics for NOAA Climate Model Improvement and
Applications
5.
*COM
and CVP: Innovative Ocean Dataset/Product Analysis and Development for support
of the NOAA Observing and Climate Modeling Communities
6.
*Adaptation
Sciences (AdSci) Program: Advancing Climate
Adaptation and Coastal Community Resilience
