FUNDING-Limited Submission - NIGMS –Research Education: Bridges to the Doctorate - R25 (PAR-17-209); September 25, 2017

 

Purpose: The overarching goal of the Bridges to Doctorate program (R25) is to support educational activities that enhance the diversity of the biomedical research workforce. To accomplish this goal, the program will support creative educational activities with a primary focus on Courses for Skills Development and Research Experiences. The Bridges to Doctorate Program is intended to provide these activities to Master’s level students to increase transition and completion of PhDs in biomedical sciences. A program application must include each educational activity and describe how they synergize

 

Project Period/Funding Amount:  $300,000 direct costs per year

Internal Competition: To participate in the university’s selection process,please submit the following, assembled into a single PDF file, to the Office of the Vice President for Research at limitedsubmissions@uky.edu with a copy to your Associate Dean for Research by August 22, 2017:

• Names and departments or affiliations of the Project Director and other key personnel or partners;
• Title of program and/or funding opportunity announcement number;
• Brief project description (2 pages maximum)
