Description
The
NIH Directors Pioneer Award supports individual scientists of exceptional

backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applications in all topics, including, but
not limited to, the behavioral, social, biomedical, applied, and formal
sciences, relevant to the broad mission of NIH are welcome and may involve
basic, translational, or clinical research. To be considered pioneering, the
proposed research must reflect substantially different scientific directions
