Description
The
Health Effects Institute was chartered in 1980 as an independent research
organization to provide high-quality, impartial, and relevant science on the
health effects of air pollution.
To
that end, HEI is inviting applications for the Walter A. Rosenblith New
Investigator Award. Through the program, grants of up to $500,000 over as many
as three years will be awarded in support of research being conducted by early
investigators on the health effects of air pollution. Research projects may be
interdisciplinary in nature and span a range of scientific fields, including
atmospheric science, epidemiology, exposure science, statistics, and
toxicology. Evidence that the applicant's institution is prepared to make a
tangible commitment to helping him/her become established an independent
investigator is required as part of the application.
