(FOA) Limited Submission – Southeastern Universities Research Association - 2019 SURA Distinguished Scientist Awards; December 6, 2018

 

Purpose: Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 Southeastern Universities Research Association (SURA) 2019 Distinguished Scientist Awards.  The awards are presented to research scientists from a SURA member institution whose extraordinary work fulfills the SURA mission to “advance collaborative research and strengthen the scientific capabilities of its members and the nation.”

 

Eligibility: While all SURA member institution scientists in any program and field of research will be considered, preference will be given to scientists:

1. whose research program brings exceptional recognition to work being performed at a SURA member institution;
2. whose work advances the SURA mission of promoting collaborative research;
3. whose recognition will reflect the broad diversity — in terms of racial, ethnic, gender, discipline, and institutional representation — within SURA member institutions.

 

Funding Amount: $5,000

Internal Competition: To participate in the university’s selection process,please upload the following,assembled into a single PDF file, to the Office of the Vice President for Research via this portal with a copy to your Associate Dean for Research by October 30, 2018:

·         Your name and department

• Title of program and/or funding opportunity announcement number;
• Brief description of qualifications (1page maximum)
• CV or biosketch

 

A committee will be convened to review the material and make a recommendation.
