Funds – 2021 Searle Scholars Program; August 4, 2020
Purpose: The
2021 Searle Scholars Program invites the nomination of an outstanding
early-career scientist with potential to make innovation and high-impact
contributions to research over an extended period of time. Searle’s sole
selection criterion is scientific merit. Applicants pursuing independent
research careers in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, immunology,
neuroscience, pharmacology, and related areas in chemistry, medicine, and the
biological sciences are eligible. The Searle Scholars Program does not
ordinarily support purely clinical research but has supported research programs
that include both clinical and basic components. Potential applicants who are
unsure if their research is appropriate for the Searle Scholars Program are
encouraged to examine the research interests of present and former Searle
Scholars on the website (http://www.searlescholars.net/).
